Martin Furler, Work Harder, 2023

Martin Furler Bassand, born in 1965, is an artist and curator. For the last eight years, he has worked as the global art curator for Novartis, overseeing an immense corporate art collection with locations around the world.
Since his time as a student at the „F+F Schule für Kunst und Design“ in Zurich, he has worked with photography in all its forms.

“Work Harder” is part of his slogan series, which he started in 2023. Each work consists of an edited photo overlaid with a short slogan. The slogans resemble motivational sayings from the business world, but their extreme brevity makes them arbitrary and robs them of their meaning. This work was created for the exhibition at bonustrack.zh and fits well into the busy and visually diverse environment of the display case.

The artwork is an edition of 10 (+2AP). Each work is signed and numbered by the artist.
