Françoise Bassand, feel better, 2023

Françoise Bassand is an artist and curator, living in Zurich, Switzerland. Her artistic work is experimental and interdisciplinary. She has been exploring the possibilities of painting since her art studies in the mid-80s. Text has always been a part of her practice. Both in her literary work, which includes poetry, essays and novels in English and German, or as an element in her paintings.

„The working conditions flow back into the pictures, as quotations, color moods or serial implementations. In a time of transition from human services to digital supremacy, it is naïve to believe that the economization of all areas of life can be avoided. This must be addressed in art, in particular if art is not to degenerate into mere decoration.“
