The trajectory seems unchanging… Produce, consume, discard. We accelerate, fascinated by the promise of ever more. It leads us toward a wall that we can see looming ahead. Between the rigor of the line and the unpredictability of chance, the possibility emerges of a movement that is no longer a headlong rush, but a field of exploration — a deviation, a breath of fresh air in the relentless mechanics of progress.

Christian Vonarburg participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Switzerland, Europe, the United States, and Guatemala. These include a solo exhibition at the Searles and Spicer Gallery in New York; group exhibitions at the QCC Art Gallery, City University of New York, and the Herter Art Gallery at the University of Massachusetts; a live art performance in La Napoule, France, invited by the University of Massachusetts; and a group exhibition at the Ixchel Museum in Guatemala City. He has also developed several large-scale commissioned and competition-based projects, notably including a “paraphone wall” along the Fribourg–Bern freeway.
