Kim Haseo, Life is cheese stick, 2024

Kim Haseo is a contemporary painter with an M.A. in critical theory and cultural studies. She lives in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

She writes about her new series ‚Life is jellyfish‘. 

„Life is Finite and Beautiful: Life is jellyfish. Sometimes transparent, sometimes ambiguous, sometimes unexplainable things unfold beautifully. Various unexpected events and complex relationships, inexplicable emotions collide and overlap with each other.

I feel that the entangled relationships and emotions resemble the flexible shapes of swimming jellyfish under the deep sea. Even if a huge wave hits you, do not try to escape, do not struggle or fight. Just give your body to the rolling waves and live a transparent and free life. So may your life be peaceful and harmonious. Every moment of life is beautiful and brilliant when you look back later.“
