Andreas Spörri

Andreas Spörri was born in Zurich in 1991, Switzerland, where he currently lives and works. After graduating Visual Communication from the Zurich University of the Arts he co-founded the Graphic Design Studio Badesaison. After almost 10 years Badesaison, he started to focus on his independent work as an artist, illustrator, and designer in 2023.

His work spans a wide range of media, including drawings, paintings and collages. With a strong affinity for mixing analog and digital techniques, he is always seeking directness, spontaneity and strong visual expression.

The current series is based on his constantly growing archive of illustrative and graphic elements. All components are made analog with brushes, various pens, scissors, and paper. By scanning, reprinting, transforming, and collaging these parts, compositions are created, which serve as the basis for these paintings.
