Yvonne Robert (*1972) grew up in Germany, studied graphic design, has lived and worked in Zurich, Switzerland for several years.

Yvonne Robert’s often bright and gestural paintings are the result of an intuitive and uninhibited approach to color and composition. Her spontaneity of conception and dynamic gesture are free of complex references and their associated meanings. Instead, she adheres firmly to colour, form, proportion, rhythm, and structure, which run like a thread through her work. 

It is the emotions that her paintings evoke in the viewer that interest her. She says she wants to create art that gives energy. A way to return to a natural state where instinct takes precedence over knowledge.
